Dear Highwheeler Families,
I hope you have had a wonderful summer, and are as excited as I am to start the 2022-2023 school year next Thursday, August 18th! It's been a busy summer at our school as we finished up our Measure E and other school improvement projects, including a relocation of our Rainbow Rising childcare buildings, new flooring in our pods, resurfacing of our parking lot and a redesign of our playground. We can't wait to share it with you when you return!
On a personal note, I can't thank our staff and parents enough for the warm welcome I've received as the new principal of Northwood Elementary. I can already see what a special place this is, and have been so impressed with the commitment of our staff, and support of our families. I can't wait to work with all of you to help make this a wonderful year for our students.
Please be on the lookout for important communication regarding supply lists, class placement, health/safety updates, and other information leading up to the first day of school.
Also, please save the date for a Welcome Back coffee we will be hosting immediately after drop-off the first day of school This will be a great opportunity for us to celebrate the start of the school year!
